This is an extension for the Volunteer Sign Up Sheets plugin.
It requires version 6.0.0 or later of the Volunteer Sign Up Sheets plugin.
What’s New in Version 4.3

- Email Template Migration: The custom email templates feature has been replaced by the main plugin’s more powerful built-in email template system. Any custom email templates you had defined in the Customizer were migrated automatically during the upgrade.
What Does This Extension Do?
The Volunteer Sign Up Sheets Customizer gives you fine-grained control over the public-facing appearance of your sign-up sheets — without touching code or translation files. Change any text string, tweak colors and fonts, create reusable layout templates, and now display a full volunteer opportunity board with the new All Tasks View.
Key Features
- Customize All Public Text: Edit or disable any text string the main plugin outputs on the front end. Default values are shown for each field so you know exactly what you’re changing.
- Layout Styles: Choose from Default (uses main plugin CSS), Compact (smaller font and tighter padding for more columns), or Custom (full control over font size, padding, borders, colors, and more). Custom styles can be configured live in the WordPress Customizer.
- Layout Templates: Create reusable per-sheet templates that control which columns appear, their order, the table display style (default / one table per date / single table), and whether to use jQuery DataTables with row grouping.
- DataTables Controls: Customize the text DataTables uses and enable/disable column visibility, hide-signups, disable-grouping, print, PDF, and CSV buttons for public-side tables.
- All Tasks View (v4.3): A single-page volunteer opportunity board. Place the
[pta_all_tasks]shortcode or Gutenberg block on any page and visitors see all upcoming tasks across all sheets in a sortable, searchable DataTable. Sign up inline with a popup form. Optionally shows current signups in a popup. Works with Custom Fields, Locations, and Waitlists extensions automatically.

Reviews
We use this plugin suite to handle signups for a 200+ member club. We have multi-day events, recurring events, events where we need to collect technical data with signups and potlucks where we just want to know what dish someone is bringing. Everything is easy to set up and so flexible and the HTML output is easy to style. I wouldn’t want to be without it.
This plugin makes managing a large number of volunteers in a busy organisation a breeze for us. Highly recommended!

I am going to be very short on words it is a very good system for those who looking for a roster system and I really recommend it after 5 years of using it. Yes, of course, there are some minor issues with this system but I hope all of them will be sorted out soon.

2. I found 3 wishes for features.
3. I wrote about it in the Forum for proposals.
4. All my wishes was fulfilled within days. And½ working perfect.

(I bought one of the (cheap) extra plugins, for Customization, and I would immediately happily buy more f needed without a thought)
We had a fundraising event with several artists, a diner, drinks, kids animation….
A lot of hands where needed! Also zetting and leaving without a trace was an organization nightmare.
Everything was done on the same day.
Without the volunteer Sign-up sheet this would not have been possible to organise.
Now we had a full overview of where we needed to find extra hands an had a complete overview of who was working where. Also, this made it possible to provide a list volunteers for the insurance.
(We needed it, someone got wounded with a piece of glass)
Great stuff, just one remark: Make sure that the list is exported as backup (or perhaps do this automatically from within the application?)
By far, the best signup plugin in the world. Would give it 10 * if I could.
Plugin worked flawlessly, and intuitively easy to set up.
Support by Stephen was superb, he spent hours holding the hand of a WordPress newbie.

The Customizer plugin for Volunteer Sign-Up Sheets provides a suite of options to change the default display of your sheets. I needed to create a sign-up for gift (rather than time) donations, and used it to alter a slew of text values to fit this use. This plugin can also alter stying and more. It’s affordable and was absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!
This is an excellent add-on for the PTA volunteer plug-in. It allowed us to easily customise the plugin to suit the needs of the club without trying to hack the code. I would really recommend this add-on.
The rules regarding a return to sport during COVID required our cycling club to come up with a way to sign-up riders, and track who rode with who, when. This add-on plugin made PTA the perfect solution as we do not have the knowledge (or time) to figure this out on our own!
This plug-in gives you full control over all titles, prompts, column headers, status messages, and placeholders for the Volunteer Sign-up Sheets plug-in. Between this add-on and the extensive CSS classes baked into the plug-in output, I was able to easily customize my installation to meet my needs. Will very likely purchase other add-ons for this plug-in in the future. Thanks for your work!
Since implementing this plugin on our Administration site as a Front of House roster tool, we have not had a performance season that was not fully rostered. It has been so easy for our volunteers to ‘book in’ and the added email reminders are a great help. We have found all of the functionality of this plugin to be excellent.
This application is exactly what I needed to allow parents to sign their kids up for athletic events our club holds. I appreciate the way the customizer works.
I’m the webmaster for a fraternal orginization which holds several social and philanthropic events throughout the year. This plugin with the customizer covers all the different scenarios we encounter for every type of event including items being brought to an event to multiple time-slot functionality. It’s a very low cost solution and great alternative to the “free” sign-up websites which sell your member information. This plugin helps our organization keep track of all the logistics for each event and provides visibility to all the members. In addition, it keeps members coming to the website.
The plugin I was using was no longer being supported. Found PTA Volunteer and it’s working great.
I spent hours searching for a way to create an online sign up system for a mentorship program I just started. I wanted a way for mentees to see a list of all mentors, how many mentees they were taking on, how many spots were left and then be able to sign up for one of the mentors, with a confirmation email being sent to both the mentee, mentor and myself. I also wanted to make sure no more mentees could sign up after all the spots had been filled.
The PTA Volunteer sign up plugin, along with the customizer and shortcode extension, accomplished everything I was looking to do. This will make my life a lot easier because I won’t have to coordinate all of the mentees/mentors, they will be able to sign up on their own, but I can monitor the sign ups through the confirmation emails and checking all sign ups on the back end.
Stephen is also very responsive and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend these products!

Easy to customize prompts and titles on sign-up forms. This helps generalize from a ‘volunteer’ sign-up to an ‘event/volunteer’ signup to make it more general. We also are a church where some older members don’t have e-mail addresses, so they were not filling out forms when they encountered this field. We added extra instructions and provided an e-mail address that they could use.
The customizer allows you to adapt the way sign up sheets are displayed without having to deal with plugin translations (poedit) or getting too deep into PHP code. Additionally, the support provided by Stephen is great and fast. The guy and the products are 100% recommended.
