      This plugin is the closest thing there is to organising for events that don’t require a full management system for payments etc. I’ve been able to get it to work fairly well for my use case (sign ups for video game events) but there are a few features which would make this, and sign ups for sports teams, very useful. I understand most of this is probably outside the current scope of the plugin, but this is the closest thing to a sport/esport manager I’ve found so far.

      Ability for people to sign up to the event, then be assigned roles by an admin (whether this is an admin set in the event or just someone with sheet permissions). I could see this being useful for all users of this plugin.

      Related to the above, ability for roles to be “locked” so only an admin can assign them. E.g. In a sports team you might have 2 forwards, 4 Middle plus a goalie slot, then have 12 players sign up, allowing you to choose who plays where and who are reserves.

      Ability to schedule the sheet going public rather than manually editing the HIDE flag

      More ability to include or not include fields on signup, e.g. For a sports team players have numbers so name/last name not required (I’m managing this using the customiser to rename the first name field to username and suppressing the surname field but people still need to fill in both which is confusing)
