[pta_sign_up_sheet] will list the group name, [pta_sign_up_sheet group=”GROUPNAME”] will not list the name of the group. I would like the name of the group to be visible when using the shortcode group aswell. Example: http://storhamarfotball.no/klubbinfo/dugnader/

Click on “Se alle dugnader som er registrert” (in red) the shortcode used is [pta_sign_up_sheet] and Lag (group) is visible in one column. Click on “Dugnadsoversikt for cuper 2017” and the group-name is missing.

This could be a feature request, but it’s not really needed. If you are using the shortcode on a page to specify a specific group, then you can name that page anything you want (using the group name, for example), or simply type in the group name above the shortcode if you want it shown in the content area and your theme doesn’t show page titles there (or you don’t want to use the group name as the page title).

Originally, each sheet could only belong to one group, so if there was a group specified in the shortcode, it would be redundant to show the group column again since they would all be the same (only one group). Only recently have I updated the plugin to allow sheets to belong to more than one group (feature request from another customer), so perhaps it might make sense if you are using the group column to show all the groups that a particular sheet belongs to. So, that could be a feature request that could possibly be added as an option that can be enabled/disabled on pages where one specific groups is specified in the shortcode.

OK now I understand. Off course it makes sense to just use the shortcode of the group name. The volunteer work that needs to be done has always two groups, one for the type of work and one group for the team responsible.

So for instance here http://storhamarfotball.no/klubbinfo/dugnader/kiosk-pa-prestrud/ I have listed all the work that need’s to be done, but in order to show the same information on the “team page http://storhamarfotball.no/laget-mitt/lagssider/g2005/g2005-dugnader/ I also use the group name of the team “G2005”.

The reason why I thought it would be a good idea to also show the group names when using shortcodes by using groups was because then you could see which team was responsible for the work http://storhamarfotball.no/klubbinfo/dugnader/kiosk-pa-prestrud/ I found out I could just add the team name in the title and that will work also.

BTW: I have translated your plug-in to norwegian, can you give me instructions on how to upload the translation? Also there is one text I cannot seem to find in the translation and that’s the text “View all Kiosk Prestrud Sign-up Sheets” as you can see here: http://storhamarfotball.no/klubbinfo/dugnader/kiosk-pa-prestrud/?sheet_id=35

OK… thanks for the info. Glad you found a way to make it work for you.

You can email me the translation .po and .mo files, and I’ll include them in the next release. My email is just: stephen@(my domain name) or contact me through the contact form and I’ll reply from my email address.

As far as that one line that you couldn’t find the translation for, that will be in the language file for the Groups plugin, since the groups plugin alters the text of the main plugin for the return link when you used a group shortcode. So, you would need to also make a translation for the Groups plugin. Most of the text for the groups plugin language file is for admin side text, as there are not too many things that it alters on the public side.
