Currently I am receiving notifications for new sign ups to approve. This is great, but I also get a notification every time a spot has been filled. Is there any way to turn this off? This could potentially fill my inbox to the brim as we have many spots to be filled on a weekly basis. I tried disabling notifications for CRON functions, but that did not seem to do what I wanted.
Is there a setting I am overlooking? -
No, there is no setting to turn those off. Probably easiest way to not see those emails would be to set up an email filter for your email account or program to automatically delete emails with that particular subject (very easy to do with Gmail, as I do similar filters). Otherwise, you can add this to the Feature Requests section.
