December 7, 2017 at 11:51 AM in reply to: I will pay for help!! Widget – Sign Up Sheets Ordering #19050Stephen SherrardKeymasterNo need to pay, that’s something I forgot to check after the last update where I added shortcode arguments to allow sorting sheets (in main list) by different fields and order. Default caused the list of events to get reversed in the widget.
Since I added those arguments to my function that gets the current sheets, I should be able to add some additional fields to the widget to allow admin to choose how to sort/display the events in the widget.
Stephen SherrardKeymasterThe “Current Volunteer Sign-up Sheets” is the title, which can be changed by the title attribute in the shortcode. You can create that manually or use the shortcode generator. Install the shortcodes extension and then you should see a “PTA” button in your page editor if you have the “visual” editor mode active. Click on that button, choose the option for sign-up sheets and set the attribute options the way you want.
Yes, you can also link to individual sheets by putting the sheet ID in the title. Easiest way to figure that out is to look at your main list of sheets on the public side, then right-click on the sheet you want and choose the option in your browser that says something like copy link location (will vary, depending on which browser/OS you use), then you can put that specific link anywhere in your site to link directly to that page.
Also, you can create separate shortcodes on different pages, and embed the sheet ID in the shortcodes arguments, and then that page will always ONLY show the sheet that matches that ID. That way you could set up fixed pages for certain sheets, and then just link to that page.
This is all described in the documentation here:

Scroll down to the very end of the page for all the possible shortcode arguments and how to use them (if you can’t get the shortcode extension working for some reason).Stephen SherrardKeymasterThis content is restricted to buyers of:
